Get to Know Matt

I was born and raised in the Northwest. When I was young I would fish all of the time in the lakes in the area with my father. We fished Coeur d’Alene Lake, Pend Oreille Lake,  Priest Lake, Spokane River, St Joe River, as well as numerous smaller lakes in the area. We owned property two miles from Bayview by Lake Pend Oreille. My brothers and I helped my father build a little cabin for our 15’ boat, and a place to sleep, so we could get up early to go fishing.

We later purchased a 32’ wooden boat on Lake Coeur d’Alene where we moored it at Blackwell Island. Not only did we wake up early to fish, but we were also already on the lake. I was in charge of driving over the fish, as my dad would say. It was a blast in the summer, because when my dad was reeling in his fish, my brothers and I would put the boat in neutral and dive into the lake off of the front of the boat. Idaho lakes have always been a fun place to grow up. When I was in Boy Scouts we canoed Priest Lake. We started at Indian Creek Campground and took a week going around the lake, staying at different bays throughout the trip. We enjoyed a day off at Upper Priest Lake in the middle of the trip. Upper Priest Lake is a no wake zone and it has a pretty challenging channel for motorized boats to get to it.

Real estate has been in my blood since a young age when I helped my father build two homes fresh out of school. Through that process I learned many things including the importance of attention to detail, doing a task the right way the first time, and taking pride in a job well done. Owning a home is a huge step in people’s lives, and I decided I would like to be a part of helping them achieve that dream.

I am a hard worker with a unique perspective and a dedicated advocate for each of my clients. I welcome the opportunity to help you and your family with your real estate needs. I chose to join Lakeshore Realty because it’s a small company that shares the same customer service beliefs I do. If you’re thinking of buying or selling, or know someone who is I would love the opportunity to talk with you.
